Garland is fitted around the door frame without damaging paint or brick, and wreaths are hung at a balanced height. Need more coverage? Add extra garland in 10-foot lengths.
How long fresh garland lasts
Fresh garland typically looks its best for several weeks. Covered porches and shaded entrances hold color longest; strong afternoon sun and dry wind will brown tips sooner.
Care and Houston weather
A light mist of water every few days during warm or dry spells helps. Houston's mild winters are kind to greenery, but a warm stretch in December can speed drying — some natural fading late in the season is normal.
